Design Thinking lives at the heart of how we approach problem solving. We dive deep into the lives of our customers to develop empathy for the issues they face every single day, which typically means rolling up our sleeves and hopping into a kitchen. We’re usually lucky enough to have very knowledgeable store managers and crew walking us through their usual processes, which helps us uncover how to integrate connected back-of-house equipment and restaurant operations software to provide smarter data about their business. And if we’re very lucky, we also get to leave with full stomachs.
At Perfect we strive to be strategic partners to our clients by creating enterprise technology solutions for both the front and back-of-house. We want to deliver more than pretty inventory and food cost reports, and instead provide data that highlights exactly where the opportunities are to squeeze a few extra points of profit from the bottom line. Our expertise falls in between the inputs and outputs of commercial foodservice kitchens. It’s in measuring every step of the workflow to automate restaurant operations and proactively target ways to reduce costs, speed up service, raise efficiency, and increase profitability.
In an effort to broaden our client knowledge and deepen our understanding of the day-to-day struggles facing today’s busy restaurants, we’ve created a new Advisory Board stacked with incredible restaurant experience.
“We are incredibly pleased to welcome this team of such established industry leaders to our Advisory Board and are grateful for their time and expertise as we continue to grow and serve the needs of our customers across various foodservice spaces,” said Mike Wallace, Co-Founder and CEO of Perfect Company. “We are at such a pivotal time in our company’s history and are honored to have the support of these four outstanding leaders.”
The members of Perfect Company’s Advisory Board will support strategic growth initiatives, product developments and build upon a growing network of customers for the company.
Advisory Board members include:
Anand Gala, the Founder and Managing Partner of Gala Capital Partners, LLC, an investment firm focused on lower middle market franchisors, software companies and commercial real estate. The current investment portfolio includes interests in chain restaurants, software & technology, real estate development, franchising and public equities investment. Current portfolio companies include: MOOYAH Burger, Fresh Griller, Proper Food, Cici’s Pizza, Clovr Life Spa, Plate IQ Software, Lunchbox Software, Ecotrak Software and HOTB Software, as well as investments in Famous Dave’s BBQ restaurants.
Jim Balis, who specializes in restaurant turnarounds and growth by leveraging proven processes and technology to optimize concept performance. He’s currently staying busy as Managing Director of the Strategic Operations Group at CapitalSpring, CEO at Sizzling Platter and owns LuLu’s Pizza in Boise, ID.
Jim Collins, a tech industry vet turned restaurant industry innovator whose varied career has one consistent thread: finding ways to maximize revenues for small businesses. Jim is the former CEO of the successful ghost kitchen pioneer, Kitchen United, and owner of the full-service restaurant Town Kitchen & Grill.
Steve Heeley, known for embracing innovation to catapult growth while creating world-class cultures built on shared purpose and vision, was most recently the CEO of Veggie Grill, a leading fast-casual plant-based chain. He comes from the ops side of the business, leading strong, efficient teams at Baja Fresh, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Au Bon Pain before serving as President and CEO of The Earl of Sandwich.
We’re so thankful to have each of these advisors filling out our growing bench of restaurant expertise in addition to the recent appointment of restaurant exec, Jayson Tipp as our Chief Growth Officer. We can’t wait to see the impact each one of them has on Perfect’s bright future.
